Why Take This Tour?

Southern Italy deserves more than a snapshot, and this curated day trip from Rome ensures you don’t just see it, you feel it. With early entry to Pompeii as it opens, you’ll explore ancient streets in the quiet hours before the crowds arrive. Then it’s off to the Amalfi Coast, where sunlit cliffs, salt-laced air, and pastel towns offer a dose of la dolce vita. If you only have one day to experience southern Italy make it this one.

Step Into the Past Before the Crowds Arrive

Your day begins before dawn, but with good reason. You’ll depart Rome early enough to reach Pompeii as the gates open. While other tours wait in line, you’re already inside with a certified archaeologist leading the way. Walk the ancient streets in near silence, stand where Roman life was frozen in time, and feel the goosebumps rise as you pass homes, temples, and even a brothel. You'll also see the House of the Vettii, a massive Ancient Roman home built around the time of the eruption.

Trade Ruins for Amalfi Coast Magic

After time-traveling in Pompeii, your journey winds along the world-famous Amalfi Coast. Revel in the stunning views and exciting twists and turns of this panoramic drive straight to Positano. Your group of max 18 people fit comfortably in a private mini bus, which means you won't waste time stopping to switch to a smaller vehicle like the larger tour groups.

A pastel resort town perched on the cliffs, Positano is world-renowned for its romance and elegance, and you'll have plenty of free time to explore it on your own. Follow in the footsteps of Shelley, Goethe, Steinbeck, and the town’s myriad other famous visitors as you climb winding staircases and explore narrow streets. Peek into upscale boutiques, order custom-made sandals from a local artisan, cool off with a dip in the clear waters (bring your swimsuit!), or relax over a fresh seafood lunch—all surrounded by some of the most picturesque and idyllic views you’ll ever see.

Every Detail, Handled

From the first warm welcome in Rome to your smooth return in time for dinner, everything is taken care of. Private bus, skip-the-line entry, world-class guides, and zero guesswork. You just show up and let us take care of the rest.

Please note: In the low season (November through March), most of the businesses in Positano town close, making the town rather uneventful to visit. During this time, we will visit Sorrento instead, where you'll have plenty of options for lunch and shopping.
